To the King County Executive Candidates

Would you please shut the fuck up? If you can't say anything nice about your opponents, then stick a fucking cork in you pie-hole! Yes, I'm a Pierce County resident, and so this election don't mean shit to me, but I have to listen to you slandering whores make up a bunch of worthless lies. Yes, you'll ast anything to get elected, and then immediately turn your back on your voters. But please, keep the bad-mouthing to a minimum. My four year old niece has better manners than any of you ass-holes!

After a few starts & stops…

The rain has finally arrived.
The wet season has begun in Washington. And as usual it started on my day off…

Fun with MyFaves and my phone, etc.

Since this spring, I've had the T-Mobile unlimited loyalty plan. Not Bad. $49.99 for unlimited voice, which puts my bill at about $100.00 or so when you include the unlimited texting and data plans that I added (hey, it's a Shadow…). Which was still cheaper than when I had the AT&T digital one rate…

Fast forward to 2 1/2 months ago when my Shadow finally gave up the ghost and I got a BlackBerry. I never really liked it. Not that there was anything against it, it performed exactly as it advertised. But a BlackBerry is still just an email client with a phone & a really crap-ass browser built in. The one redeeming grace about it was the Facebook app. So I looked on eBay, and found another Shadow (which BTW was the first auction I ever won. Period). So I was going to sell the BlackBerry. And my roommate (you know, my younger brother) made an offer for it. So I had to take it back to T-Mobile and have it reactivated. Since there are now two lines on my account, and I had the unlimited loyalty plan, I could get the MyFaves unlimited plan. The only drawback is that I had to deal with the damn Fave Five on my phone. Since the Shadow runs Windows Mobile, it's just a matter of changing 1 or 2 registry keys when I'm running the Stock ROM. Solution: go to http://wiki.allshadow.com and download the Windows 6.1 ROM of your choice. I prefer the Erofich 6.1 ROM.

Somebody figured it out…

You got to hand to them. I didn’t think anybody knew how to stun the President & not get a lot up-close-and-personal-attention from the Secret Service. But the Nobel Prize committee figured out how to do it. Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. He becomes only the 4th President to win it. Period. And only the 3rd to do it while still in office. I’m not really going to go into whether or not he really deserves it or not. That was the Nobel Committee's prerogative.

Perhaps he’s more popular in the rest of the world than hear. But hey, even a mindless blob of Jell-O in the White House is still better than Dubya….

Playboy Jumps The Shark!

Marge Simspon is going to drop the towel. What’s next, Ted McGinley getting a spread. I guess there must be a serious shortage of silicon/saline. But more likely than not, since most of it’s probably photoshopped anyway, they just deleted the model, and kept the photoshoppers.

Yes, it is possible

Yes, it is possible to butt-dial your cell phone when it's across the the room from you. In a related story, it is A Good Thing not to sit on your bluetooth headset. Especially one that has redial set up...

It's Ditty's Birthday Today!

Happy Birthday, Ditty. May The Flying Spaghetti Monster cause your Beer Volcano & Stripper Factory to be most abundant today. And just remember: if you don't get what you want, then go out and plunder!

Let’s try and get organized….

Ok, so I ditched my BlackBerry for another Shadow. Nothing against RIM or the BlackBerry phone, I just feel that I can get more done with a Windows Mobile platform than whatever RIM uses. Since I have Office installed on my computer, I use Outlook to manage my phone’s contacts & schedule. And it just occurred to me today after I overslept & missed a doctor’s appointment: Why not put all this in the Outlook Calender, & it’ll show up in my phone. I don’t know how long this’ll last, with my ever changing work schedule, but it’s worth a shot.

I remember many years ago for Christmas, I got a Day Timer from my my parents. I had just graduated form High School, and I thought it was the coolest thing. But I never used it. My schedule was always beyond the printed hours, or I didn’t have enough to do to make it worth bothering to write down. Now that I’m currently working in two different locations and have to plan with the bus schedule, maybe it’s time to start writing stuff down…

The return of an old friend…

I've had my BlackBerry for about two months now. And I don't like it. There's nothing against it really. It does everything that it's advertised to do. And had I gone straight to it from my Motorola Z3, there wouldn't have been a problem. But I had a Shadow. And I grew to love it. Yes, it has Windows Mobile on it, and there see some quirks to deal with (being from The Anti-Christ), but in my balance sheet, the pluses far exceeded the minuses…

Long story short, I started bidding on a couple of eBay auctions, and I finally won one. I have my Shadow back. It's used, and I have no warranty on it, but it works for now. As for my BlackBerry, I suppose I could throw in the drawer and keep it for a spare phone. Or I could sell it to a co-worker. Or I could let my boss sell it. Or my roommate wants me to activate it on a second phone line…

Decisions, decisions…
